Glowing praise for new USF football locker room

locker.jpgWhile USF football was off in Vero Beach for 11 days, the Bulls used the down time at the Selmon Athletic Center to upgrade the football locker room, which now ... glows in the dark.

Just after Sunday's Fan Fest as the Bulls returned to campus, there was a flurry of pictures offered up from USF players on Twitter -- Skip Holtz offered not only a pic, but a short video as well. Bill McGillis touted that that concrete slab at bottom of each locker weighs 35 pounds -- remind me of this when there's a wild run of toe injuries this fall.

More twitpics! Here's Fidel Montgomery, and Alex Mut, and Brynjar Gudmundsson, and Tye Turner (who really just liked his nameplate), and Chris Bivins (four pics!). I could go on and on, but instead I'll direct you to my Twitter list, which has 60 USF football players on one feed.

USF estimated the cost of the locker-room renovations at between $400,000 and $500,000, and the project was paid through normal budgetary allowances for facility maintenance and upgrades.
