Gransberry back for third D-League season
I've been meaning to catch up on where former USF basketball players are playing professionally, and I'll start with former Bulls center Kentrell Gransberry, who is back for a third season in the NBA Development League.
Gransberry was picked in the fifth round of the NBDL draft by the Idaho Stampede, giving him three NBDL teams in as many seasons. He started his career with the Colorado 14ers, then spent last season with the Springfield (Mass.) Armor.
The 6-foot-9, 270-pound Gransberry, who led the Big East in rebounding in back-to-back seasons, averaged 4.6 points and 4.5 rebounds a game for the Armor off the bench last season. The Stampede opens its season on Nov. 20 against New Mexico -- right now, Gransberry is the only USF alum on an NBDL roster.
