Guard Verdejo 'probable' for Seton Hall game
USF senior guard Jesus Verdejo, who missed Saturday's loss at No. 1 Connecticut with an injured right foot, was able to practice Tuesday and is listed as "probable" for Wednesday's game at Seton Hall.
Verdejo, the Bulls' No. 2 scorer at 13.3 points per game, has been bothered by plantar fasciitis for the past three weeks, a painful condition that sidelined him Saturday. In his absence, the Bulls played freshman Justin Leemow, who has played well as a point guard but is shooting just 14 percent from the field this season.
Three of Seton Hall's five wins and two of USF's three victories have come against DePaul and Rutgers, who are a combined 1-27 in the Big East this season. The Bulls and Pirates are a combined 3-20 against the rest of the conference.
