Heath gets commitment from Texas guard Holland

USF men's basketball has picked up another commitment for the 2012-13 season, getting a pledge Monday from Demarcus Holland, a 6-foot-3 shooting guard from Garland, Texas.

Holland visited USF this weekend, and it's a case of Heath making quick use of the scholarship vacated when point guard Lavonte Dority opted to transfer after the fall semester. Holland announced his commitment on his Twitter.com page, writing: "Just committed to South Florida (Big East) Im really excited man #Blessed."

Holland, who can sign with USF during the spring signing period, is the fourth member of Heath's incoming recruiting class, joining junior college center Waverly Austin, junior college combo guard Musa Abdul-Aleem and Michigan prep guad JaVontae Hawkins. USF has one more scholarship available for the incoming class as well.

We'll have more on this as we get calls back from Holland and his coaches in Texas.
