Hoops: Women roll, men fall to 0-2

USF's men's basketball team has dropped to a humbling 0-2, losing 76-69 at Buffalo. The Bulls got 18 and 17 points from Jesus Verdejo and Dominique Jones, but only nine points from center Kentrell Gransberry, who went 3-for-14 from the field in his season debut. Check out the box from Buffalo's web site here, at least for tonight.

I'm here at the Sun Dome, where USF's women had no problem with Bethune-Cookman, rolling to an 84-49 victory and hitting 11 3-pointers, matching the fourth-highest total in the program's history. Shantia Grace scored all of her 14 points in the second half, and the Bulls were led by 16 each from juniors Jazmine Sepulveda and Jessica Lawson. Plenty more on the women's game later tonight ...
