Huskies drop Bulls in final game at Red
After 43 years, USF has played its final home game at Red McEwen Field, losing 10-3 on Sunday afternoon in a rain-shortened game against first-place Connecticut.
The Bulls (23-29, 14-10) remain fifth in the Big East standings with only a three-game series at Pittsburgh remaining before the conference tournament in Clearwater. Senior Andrew Salgueiro, pressed into a weekend start due to injuries, gave up eight runs in three-plus innings, with shortstop Sam Mende going 2-for-2 as the only USF hitter with more than one hit.
