It's here: USF-Cincinnati tonight at RayJay
Less than 12 hours until No. 21 USF and No. 8 Cincinnati line up at Raymond James Stadium, and we'll try to help you guys get through the day and make it to kickoff -- yes, there's still a little more to read about the game.
First, we'll link to today's story on Bulls receiver Carlton Mitchell, who has emerged as USF's best big-play threat with four catches of 50 yards or longer in the last four games. Mitchell trained with former Bucs receiver Mark Carrier this spring, but traces his success to eliminating much of the off-field distractions that kept him from focusing on football the way he wanted to last season.
There's also our scouting report, Gary Shelton's USF column and you can read our two-hour chat Wednesday afternoon on all things USF-Cincinnati. What's more, we have really cool video from Wednesday's pep rally on campus, including what Jim Leavitt had to say to the fans in attendance. "The energy is there, and you can feel it all over the city, and certainly right here. Y'all are the best," Leavitt said.
It's a busy day getting to the 7:30 kickoff -- I'll be on ESPN 1040 in Tampa around 10 a.m., then should be on Bright House Sports Network's live show from the stadium around 6 p.m., talking with Joe Girvan. Should be able to get more updates and links on here throughout the day, and for those of you not among the 60,000 expected at Raymond James, we'll be live-blogging throughout the game here tonight.
