Jones cracks's NBA mock first round

Another post on former USF guard Dominique Jones, who shows up at No. 30 as the final pick -- to the Washington Wizards -- in the NBA mock first round from's Ian Thomsen.

It's the first mainstream mock draft to include Jones in the first round -- he's the fifth Big East player taken according to Thomsen, following Georgetown's Greg Monroe (6th), Syracuse's Wesley Johnson (8th), UConn's Stanley Robinson (12th) and West Virginia's Devin Ebanks (29th).

-- Thanks to blog commenter Diddy for pointing out that has posted its own mock first round as  well today, with Jones going 24th to the Atlanta Hawks. More mock drafts: Dime Magazine does not have Jones in its projected first round. Ridiculous Upside has Jones going 37th overall, in the second round.

Jones has already worked out with the Wizards, along with the Celtics, Bulls, Pacers and Spurs.
