Jones goes for 32 points in Summer League opener

It's been a quiet two seasons since Dominique Jones left USF basketball after his junior year in 2010 -- he got an NBA championship ring as a rookie with the Mavericks, but he's played sparingly in his two NBA seasons.

So it's promising to see Jones explode for 32 points in Dallas' opener in the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas. You can see video of his game here at, which also has a story on Jones' future with the Mavericks and how important this week is as he heads into his third season.

Jones is back in action tonight, and former USF center Jarrid Famous, who played for the Pacers in Orlando last week, is playing for the Bucks in Las Vegas, with their first game coming tonight.
