Kicker Kloss arrested, facing grand theft charge
Marvin Kloss, the Naples kicker who last month said he'd accepted an offer to walk on at USF this fall, was arrested Friday and faces a felony charge of grand theft, accused by police in the theft of $8,200 in property from a home during a house party, according to the Naples News.
Kloss, who chose the Bulls over an offer to walk on at Florida, was arrested with a teammate at Barron Collier High School on Friday, the News reported. The charge is significant enough that it could put his future with the Bulls in jeopardy, though USF coach Skip Holtz isn't going to comment on the arrest.
Kloss is the second athlete recruited by USF to face an arrest in the past week. Miami Central lineman Jose Jose, who had committed to the Bulls but signed with Central Florida, was arrested on charges of aggravated assault and carrying a concealed firearm, according to the Orlando Sentinel.
