Kornegay, Miller take home top Big East honors
Fresh off a Big East championship last week, USF women's golf swept the league's top postseason honors, as Marci Kornegay was named Big East Coach of the Year for the second time in three years and Christina Miller was named the league's Golfer of the Year.
The Bulls have a busy week ahead, playing next week in the NCAA regionals in Columbus, Ohio, after winning the Big East title last week in Orlando. USF has had only four coaches earn Big East Coach of the Year honors, and Kornegay is the first to do so twice.
Miller, a sophomore who transferred to USF from Mississippi, led the Bulls and ranked 25th nationally with an average of 73.07 strokes per round. She finished first in three tournaments and took third in the Big East championships.
