Lamar, Webster go 1-2 in Big East 60 meters
For the second year in a row, a USF receiver has won the Big East's indoor 60-meter title, as Lindsey Lamar edged teammate Kayvon Webster for first place with a time of 6.78 seconds on Sunday afternoon.
Last year, USF's Derrick Hopkins won in 6.77 seconds, with Lamar close behind in third place at 6.80; Webster was a split-second behind that mark with a 6.83 time on Sunday. Hopkins, who won the 60 and 200 at last year's Big East indoors, didn't qualify for the finals in either event this weekend.
USF's men's track team is in third place in the Big East point standings after 12 events, while USF's women are in eighth.
