Late win: Garrison picks USF over W. Va.
USF didn't have many scholarship offers unaccounted for going into Wednesday, but the Bulls won over one of them Wednesday, as Starke Bradford County defensive tackle Corian Garrison chose USF over an offer from West Virginia.
"I think it starts with wanting to be closer to home, but he knows USF is an up and coming program," Bradford County coach Chad Bankston said.
Garrison's strength is his footwork, Bankston said, and he said the senior will get bigger and stronger before he arrives at USF. He'll have the chance to work with USF's newest assistant coach in former Iowa State head coach Dan McCarney, hired on Tuesday.
USF's official site now shows 14 signees, not including Garrison, so the faxes continue to roll in. Keep checking in for updates and fire those questions off to [email protected] ...
