Linebacker Moffitt released by Saints
For the second time in a month, former USF linebacker Ben Moffitt's stay on an NFL practice squad has been a short one. Last month, it was the Bucs adding and quickly dropping Moffitt, and on Wednesday, the New Orleans Saints released him, just one week after signing him to their practice squad.
Former USF running back Andre Hall faced similar struggles in his first season as a pro and still was able to latch on with the Denver Broncos, where he's stayed the last two seasons. Moffitt has had chances with three NFL teams, having been signed after the draft by the Houston Texans and cut in preseason.
