Live blog: Bulls gather to hear NCAA news



WESLEY CHAPEL -- I've lived here for the last nine years, and yet I can't remember writing anything since I've been on the USF beat that carried a Wesley Chapel dateline. But USF women's basketball coach Jose Fernandez has invited the media to his home, where his players and staff have gathered to watch ESPN's live unveiling of the NCAA Tournament bracket.

The fact that Fernandez is allowing TV crews to set up shop in his living room -- and reporters to mooch off his wireless access to blog live -- says something about his confidence that the Bulls have done enough to earn an at-large berth. He can still rattle off his resume from two years ago, when the NCAA snubbed the Bulls, and remembered Sunday night that both and had projected the Bulls as making it two years ago. Still, Fernandez is at ease -- the sign posted in front of his house has a basketball on it and the words "PARTY ZONE." In the next few minutes, the Bulls will know, one way or the other ...
