LSU's Dorsey wins Nagurski Trophy
LSU defensive tackle Glenn Dorsey won the Bronko Nagurski Trophy on Monday night, beating out USF defensive end George Selvie, the first Bulls player to be a finalist for a national college football award.
Selvie, leading the nation with 31.5 tackles for loss to go with a school record 14.5 sacks, was in Charlotte, N.C., on Monday night for the Nagurski awards dinner. He's still one of eight finalists for the Hendricks Defensive End of the Year Award, which will be announced on Wednesday, and a strong candidate to be Big East Defensive Player of the Year.
The other Nagurski finalists were last year's winner, Ohio State linebacker James Laurinaitis, Kansas cornerback Aqib Talib and Virginia defensive end Chris Long.
