More bulletin board, now from Seton Hall
We told you how Providence coach Keno Davis had given USF a little offseason inspiration with his quote about how losing to a school like USF was "unacceptable," and now, as the Bulls get ready for tonight's ESPN2 home game against Seton Hall, there's a quote worth repeating from Pirates coach Bobby Gonzalez.
Here's what he told Mycentraljersey.com two weeks ago about his tough schedule:
"We’re 1-4 in the conference, I’m not happy about it, but you know Syracuse, West Virginia, UConn and Georgetown. All four teams were rated in the top 12 in the country," he said. "I mean we just haven’t had a break. It would help us to play, I’m not saying any game in this league is easy, but if we played a DePaul, or a South Florida or a Rutgers or somebody that’s just a little more normal. It might have helped us because these teams right now are unbelievable.”
He's prefacing it to soften the blow, but nobody likes to be the poster boy for an easy conference opponent, to be called "a little more normal," even when compared to top national teams like the ones Seton Hall has faced. ...
