More NFL Draft fun: Make your USF picks here
The NFL Draft starts tonight and continues through Saturday, and while it won't be quite as busy a weekend for USF football as it was a year ago, you guys seemed to have enough fun last year making your picks for where the Bulls will be drafted that I all but had to do it again.
Here's how it works: You pick the overall number each USF hopeful will be picked, and you get one point for every pick you're off by, so the entry with the least points wins. For simplicity's sake, we'll count "not drafted" as having a point value of 255 (since there are 254 picks). Obviously defensive tackle Terrell McClain is perceived as the first Bulls player drafted, projected generally in the second or third round. We'll include six other potential Bulls draftees for our picks -- (alphabetically) defensive end David Bedford, receiver Dontavia Bogan, center Sampson Genus, defensive end Craig Marshall, defensive back Mistral Raymond and linebacker Jacquian Williams. (A few others could be picked, yes, but NFL.com's draft player database only includes McClain, while ESPN.com's has Bogan, Genus, Marshall and Raymond, as well as ... sixth-year senior A.J. Love, who intends to play for USF in 2011.)
So pegging McClain is an absolute key, as well as correctly deciding which of the rest of the draft hopefuls can emerge in the late rounds. I don't imagine seven Bulls will be drafted, but it's reasonable that a few from the group will be taken, and all should find their way into an NFL training camp, assuming there are training camps to find their way into. In the comments here, you can fill in each player's last name and the number they'll get picked: McClain 56, etc. ... Good luck and we'll come back and announce a winner on Sunday. ...
