More notes: Marlins trade for ex-Bulls 1B Gload
Former USF standout Ross Gload has been traded from the Royals to the Marlins, where he should back up Jorge Cantu at first base. Gload, 32, was batting .280 in spring training and is now headed back to the team that originally drafted him out of USF in 1997. Here's the full story from MLB.com.
-- USF coach Jim Leavitt mentioned after Saturday's scrimmage that a huge contingent of Bulls players and coaches were participating in the National Multiple Sclerosis Society's Tampa Walk fund-raiser at Lowry Park Zoo on Saturday.
