Nevins throws 3rd no-hitter, fans 16

I'm up in Pennsylvania for a family funeral, but USF softball is here in the Keystone State as well, and sophomore Sara Nevins continues to dominate, striking out 16 Pittsburgh batters in throwing a no-hitter -- her third of the season -- for the first of two wins Saturday. Freshman Sam Greiner threw a two-hitter in the second game, and USF is now 32-5 and still on course for its best season ever.

Nevins could be getting Big East pitcher of the week honors for the fourth time in five weeks --- she entered the week leading the nation in ERA, helped USF beat No. 4 Florida, then faced one more than the minimum on Saturday. Keep this up, and she'll have all kinds of All-America honors.

USF baseball won as well, evening the series at one game each entering today's final game. Baseball is now 19-9 and 4-1 in Big East.
