NFL: USF alums Dile, Hall survive NFL cuts



Surprising but exciting news for USF fans from One Buc Place, where former USF offensive lineman Marc Dile has made the final cuts for the Bucs roster as an undrafted rookie. Former Bulls running back Andre Hall, despite a lackluster preseason, made the final cut for the Houston Texans.


Former USF defensive end Jarriett Buie, who was cut and resigned this past week, was released again, but is a candidate for the team's practice squad.

Former USF cornerback Trae Williams was cut by the Eagles -- he spent last season on their practice squad and could be headed back there again. And rookie receiver Taurus Johnson was cut by the Chiefs.

Former USF running back Chad Simpson, who finished his college career at Morgan State, also made the Colts' final roster, so it's officially seven Bulls on NFL rosters to open the 2009 season. We should have practice-squad news in the next few days ...
