No Big East teams in preseason coaches' poll

As was the case for much of last season, the Big East had no teams in the preseason USA Today coaches' poll, with West Virginia just missing at No. 27 and USF picking up nine vote-points -- fewer than Central Florida.

USF's opening opponent, Notre Dame, is the only ranked team on USF's schedule at No. 18, but other teams were getting votes -- West Virginia, Miami and Pittsburgh joined the Bulls in "also receiving votes" territory. Central Florida earned 22 vote-points to rank an unofficial 33rd, while USF's nine points put them in 37th.

USF coach Skip Holtz is one of 59 coaches with a ballot this year, and the Bulls will face five other coaches who vote: Ball State's Pete Lembo, Syracuse's Doug Marrone, Rutgers' Greg Schiano, Louisville's Charlie Strong and Miami's Al Golden. Coaches' ballots are private before and during the regular season.

-- USF also announced kickoff times for three home games -- the Sept. 10 home opener against Ball State will have a 7 p.m. kickoff, as well as the Sept. 17 game against Florida A&M, with both games being broadcast on Bright House Sports Network. USF's Oct. 22 home game against Cincinnati will have a noon kickoff as the Big East game of the week.
