Praise for USF hoops from ESPN
I'm trying to take some vacation this week, so you won't see as much on the blog in the next few days, but I'll try to get posts up here and there to keep things fresh and keep you guys coming back.
ESPN.com has taken notice of USF's seven-game winning streak in men's basketball, with two prominent mentions in the last 24 hours. Because he lives nearby, Dick Vitale is always aware of the Bulls, and he writes this week on freshman phenom Dominique Jones, who is averaging 28.3 points over his last three games. And Fran Fraschilla, whose name was bantered about as a possibility to coach the Bulls, has high praise for Doug Woolard having the sense to get Stan Heath. Fraschilla's blog is part of ESPN's premium Insider content, so you all might not be able to read that. He writes that center Kentrell Gransberry is on the NBA scouts' radar and needs only to raise his energy level on a consistent basis to be a player with a future in the NBA. He also calls Jones a "scoring machine."
