Report: Heiar says no to Bulls' offer

Chipola College coach Greg Heiar, offered a position on Stan Heath's staff, has turned down USF to remain at the Panhandle junior college, USFbullseye.com's Alan Dell reported Saturday night.

Heiar hasn't returned any phone calls since he visited USF on Thursday, and I haven't been able to reach Chipola athletic director Dale O'Daniel, who told Dell that Heiar was staying. Heiar's decision likely takes the Bulls out of contention for Chipola sophomore forward Victor Dubovitsky, who already had been said to be choosing between Kansas State and Iowa, with USF not ruled out as a possibility.

It's a big weekend from a recruiting standpoint for Heath, who has had multiple recruits in for campus visits, including Kem Nweke, a 6-foot-10, 309-pound center prospect from suburban Houston. Expect an update from Nweke sometime Sunday ...
