Road split: USF women win, men lose to UConn in OT

February

Sunday afternoon was a mixed bag for USF basketball, as the Bulls women's team was able to cruise to a 78-60 at Pittsburgh, keeping the Panthers winless in Big East play, while USF's men's team fell just short, losing at Connecticut 69-64 in overtime.

Here's our full story on the men's loss at UConn -- strong game for senior Toarlyn Fitzpatrick, but USF drops below .500 to 10-11 overall and 1-8 in conference play midway through the Big East season.

USF's women had great scoring balance in their easy win -- Andrea Smith had all of her 15 in the second half, matching twin sister Andrell for the team lead among five Bulls scoring in double digits.

USF's men play host to Marquette on Wednesday night, while USF's women (15-6, 4-4 in Big East) next play Saturday at Providence.
