Rookie Williams helps send Giants to Super Bowl
If you watched Sunday night's NFC championship game to the end, you saw former USF linebacker Jacquian Williams, now a rookie with the Giants, force a fumble on punt coverage in overtime, setting up the winning field goal in New York's victory against San Francisco.
Williams got his name called out by Giants coach Tom Coughlin on national TV -- a fitting punctuation on a breakout rookie season for the sixth-round pick. USF has Williams and second-year star Jason Pierre-Paul going for Super Bowl rings in Indianapolis in two weeks.
We had the chance to catch up with Williams in November when USF was up to play Rutgers, and here's the feature we wrote.
