Samuels' big plays: Watch them live

12

November

For those of you who weren't able to watch Saturday's USF-Syracuse game, USF's official site, gousfbulls.com, has free video highlights from the game. The best is a 30-second clip showing Aston Samuels' two long end-arounds, one for 75 yards, the other for 26.

You can see the great downfield blocking that set up both runs -- the first has a nice pop from Mike Ford, and the second has superb blocks from Jamar Taylor and Carlton Mitchell, who is pushing a Syracuse corner straight backwards 20 yards downfield. (All four names dropped there? Freshmen.) On that first run, receiver Marcus Edwards, maybe the smallest player on the field, has a big hit to give Samuels more of a corner to turn.
