Selvie among 15 on Walter Camp watch list
USF defensive end George Selvie, leading the nation in sacks and tackles for loss, is one of 15 players on the watch list for the Walter Camp Award, one of college football's most prestigious national MVP awards.
Selvie is one of two sophomores on the list (with Florida's Tim Tebow) and one of only five defensive players being considered, along with LSU defensive tackle Glenn Dorsey, Ohio State linebacker James Laurinaitis, Penn State linebacker Dan Connor and Kansas defensive back Aqib Talib (who also plays on offense). He's one of three Big East players on the watch list, with West Virginia quarterback Pat White and Rutgers running back Ray Rice.
Selvie is also being considered for three defensive honors, surviving the current cuts for the Bednarik, Nagurski and Hendricks awards.
