Skip Holtz, second chances and more
Gregg Doyel has a provocative column at cbssports.com about Skip Holtz, second chances and race: "Skip Holtz wasn't hired because he's white. He was hired because he's Skip Holtz. Because his father is Lou Holtz. Because he has a name the average college football fan will recognize, and that's how you win the news conference at a school like Louisiana Tech." But Doyel argues in support of recently fired Colorado coach Jon Embree who said African-American coaches rarely get such a second chance.
