Smith scores 33 in USF rout of Auburn
Big win for USF women's basketball, as junior guard Andrea Smith had 33 points -- hitting 8 3-pointers -- to lead the Bulls to a 67-49 win against Auburn in the Sun Dome on Monday night.
Smith, last year's national junior college player of the year, went 8-for-13 on 3-pointers in a breakout game, leading USF to a 16-0 lead early. The Bulls (3-2) -- who lost to Morgan State on Saturday night -- committed only 11 turnovers and held Auburn to just 29 percent shooting. Daleisha Carn, coming off the bench, was the only other USF player scoring in double figures, scoring 10 points on 5-for-5 shooting.
