Softball: Gators pitch perfect game vs. USF
USF's softball struggles took another step Thursday as the Bulls failed to reach base in a 10-0 five-inning loss at Florida, the Gators' first perfect game in six years.
Gators ace Stephanie Brombacher retired all 15 Bulls batters on 56 pitches, striking out five. USF drops to 14-15 on the season, and starter Kristen Gordon didn't make it out of the second inning, giving up seven runs on six hits. Florida, ranked as high as No. 6 nationally, improves to 21-3.
USF returns home for a doubleheader Saturday against Cornell before opening Big East play next weekend against Seton Hall.
