Greetings from Chicago -- it's only Week 1, but I feel confident my view of Lake Michigan from the 42nd floor here might end up being my best hotel-room vista of the season. No disrespects to any of you in Syracuse, Pittsburgh, Hartford or greater Newark.

I'm off to my first game at Wrigley Field in a bit, but want to share a few links from back at the Times -- first, our Saturday story looks at the way Skip Holtz has made such an impression on some people in South Bend that loyal Notre Dame fans are pulling against the Fighting Irish. And today's paper has a feature on USF's offense and how much better the Bulls might be on that side of the ball in 2011.
