Strange: Lose to USF, lose your job

I thought this was downright odd when there were two of them, but now that there are three, I have to go public with this: THREE coaches that lost to USF this season have already lost their jobs.

First was McNeese State coach Tommy Tate, who was out after just four games. Then North Carolina's John Bunting announced he was resigning, just nine days after losing to USF. Nothing shocking, but tonight Florida International's Don Strock announced he's stepping down as well. Three coaches who lost to USF, three coaches out of work.

And if you want to go back to last year, just the curse of playing USF and beating the Bulls could claim at least two more coaches, in N.C. State's Chuck Amato and Miami's Larry Coker. Penn State's Joe Paterno certainly isn't gone, but the poor guy gets plowed over on the sideline and has to miss a game. I'm presuming Greg Robinson will get a third season at Syracuse, even though his teams have failed to win a Big East game in his first two years with the Orange.

Sorry, just needed to share.
