Tackle Estenor out after knee surgery

Lots to get to from Tuesday night's football practice, but I'm here at courtside at the Sun Dome for the men's basketball exhibition against West Florida, so not sure how much I'll be able to get to right away. Talked with Wally Burnham and Greg Gregory and got good stuff from both, so we'll get that up sometime between now and the wee small hours of the morning.

Freshman tackle Danous Estenor won't play in next week's game against Rutgers after undergoing surgery on his injured knee. USF coach Jim Leavitt would not call the injury season-ending, saying the major ligaments were not torn, but he won't be playing against the Scarlet Knights. Leavitt said linemen Marc Dile and Zach Hermann shouldn't have played Thursday night, but fought through injuries as best they could.

We'll blog live from the hoops tonight. Plenty of good seats still available ...
