Upset: USF holds on, knocks off FSU 68-67
FSU's Toney Douglas missed a 3-pointer at the buzzer, allowing USF to hold on for a 68-67 upset of the Seminoles in Daytona Beach, the first significant win of the Stan Heath era.
Chris Howard, whose two free throws with 55 seconds left provided the winning margin, shot an airball with 7 seconds to go, but FSU was slow bringing the ball up the court, and Douglas' three bounced off the backboard. The Bulls (2-3) led most of the game, hitting 11 3-pointers.
Kentrell Gransberry led the Bulls with 21 points, while Ralph Mims led the Seminoles with 16.
