USF baseball stays alive, eliminates Louisville
USF softball is into the 9th inning with Hofstra in Tampa, but the Bulls baseball team pulled off a big win in Clearwater tonight, with Matt Reed and Austin Adams combining for a four-hitter as USF eliminated top-seeded Louisville with a 6-2 win in the Big East tournament.
The Bulls got a three-run home run from Alex Mendez and a two-run shot by Todd Brazeal -- they'll play at 1 p.m. Saturday against fifth-seeded Connecticut, needing to beat the Huskies twice to advance to Sunday's championship game. Here's the full story from correspondent Ian Lanphier.
