Quarterback Matt Grothe was injured on a play in the second quarter and helped off the field. The injury has been announced as a left knee sprain -- he will not return tonight and will undergo further tests to determine the severity of the injury.
B.J. Daniels took over at quarterback and threw a 50-yard touchdown pass to Dontavia Bogan, adding a 16-yard scoring run in the third quarter. Grothe had his left leg bent back behind him as he was tackled on a 9-yard scramble, and he did not put weight on his left leg as he was helped off with a trainer on each side.
