USF Bulls starting quarterback Matt Grothe leaves Charleston Southern game with apparent knee injury
Update, 9:15: Official word is Matt Grothe sustained a left knee sprain.
USF Bulls starting quarterback Matt Grothe was injured on a play in the second quarter and helped off the field.
The injury appears to be to his left knee. Grothe had his left leg bent back behind him as he was tackled on a 9-yard scramble, and he did not put weight on his left leg as he was helped off with a trainer on each side.
