USF-Florida one of weekend's hottest tickets
Still trying to land a ticket to Saturday's USF-Florida game in Gainesville? The folks at Stubhub.com say that the Bulls-Gators showdown is one of the five hottest college football games in the country, with the fourth-highest amount of tickets sold on the ticket site.
The game is still comparably a cheap ticket -- sales on Stubhub were averaging $129 as of Wednesday, as compared to $204 for FSU at Oklahoma or even $387 for Penn State at Alabama. The USF-Florida game trailed only the Penn State-Alabama, Miami-Ohio State and Michigan-Notre Dame nationally in terms of tickets sold on the site.
Tickets on the site are starting at $78 each for a pair together, with about 30 tickets available for less than $100 each. You can usually find tickets from scalpers on University Avenue before a game, but as the case with any sold-out game, there are more buyers than sellers before kickoff, so you might be paying a little more. I'm curious to see how many of you readers will be in attendance, among the 6,000-plus expected to represent USF at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. ...
