USF men routed again, women postponed
USF men's basketball has had enough offensive woes of late without spotting a road opponent the Bulls' leading scorer. So it was to little surprise Saturday that the Bulls, who had Victor Rudd out with a groin injury, struggled to score at all in a 68-40 loss at Villanova.
The Bulls (10-13, 1-10 in Big East) again threatened the reset the program's all-time single-game low for points -- 36 -- but avoided that with a late push. USF trailed 39-16 at halftime, and again finished with only one player scoring in double figures, as freshman JaVontae Hawkins had 13.

-- Meanwhile, USF's women's basketball team, which had already pushed its game at Providence from 2 p.m. Saturday to 7:30, saw that tipoff pushed back again to 1 p.m. Sunday, thanks to heavy snows that have blanketed the area. The Bulls aren't likely to return home until Monday, and as a result, the Bulls' home game against St. John's, once set for Tuesday night, is now set for Wednesday at 4 p.m.
