A resounding 37-7 win against Ball State and a handful of losses by teams ahead in the polls helped USF jump up two spots to No. 20 in the Associated Press top 25 and make its season debut at No. 22 in the USA Today coaches poll.

Only one team on USF's remaining schedule is currently receiving votes -- West Virginia is No. 18, two spots ahead in the AP rankings. The Bulls are the third of three Florida schools in the rankings, behind No. 5 Florida State and No. 16 Florida, with UCF also receiving votes after a solid 30-3 win against Boston College.
