USF-UConn: Another line shift

It's been a weak effort on the blog this week, so I'm trying to make up for it with occasional in-game updates, or as the case is here, pre-game updates.

First, USF will have its fifth starting offensive line in six games, with redshirt freshman Ryan Schmidt starting at right guard and junior Walter Walker starting at right tackle, with Marc Dile as the odd man out. The Bulls continue to tweak the line, trying to find the best combination, but Connecticut leads the Big East in tackles for losses, so it's a key position tonight.

One more note sure to get the recruiting fans frothing at the mouth at January levels: among the dozens of recruits making visits tonight is Plant quarterback Robert Marve, previously thought to be an Alabama commitment. His presence at Ray-Jay doesn't necessarily change that, but it raises a few eyebrows, right?
