USF unveils nonconference men's hoops schedule
It's been revealed bit by bit over the last few weeks, and USF men's basketball filled in the remaining holes in its nonconference 2012-13 schedule on Monday, releasing details on the 12 games that will prepare the Bulls for Big East play.
The new games? There are four unreported home games -- Bradley, Youngstown State, Bowling Green and George Mason -- and a new road game at Stetson. Those go with what's already known -- a home-and-home series with Central Florida, home date with Georgia, road game at Oklahoma State and a three-game home tournament against Western Michigan, Loyola (Chicago) and Maryland-Eastern Shore.
"This is possibly one of our best non-conference schedules, especially when you look at the amount of attractive home games on the schedule," coach Stan Heath said. "The schools we'll face will certainly prepare us for our Big East season, especially when you look at what Oklahoma State, UCF, Georgia, George Mason and the rest of the field bring to the table."
Here's the full schedule -- Big East dates will be added in late summer. November -- 10, vs. UCF; 16, vs. Maryland-Eastern Shore; 17, vs. Western Michigan; 18, vs. Loyola-Chicago; 20, vs. Bradley, 26, at Stetson; 30, vs. Georgia. December -- 5, at Oklahoma State; 18, vs. Youngstown State; 21, vs. Bowling Green; 29, vs. George Mason. January -- 2, at Central Florida.
