USF women fall 57-56 to Cincinnati
I'm over in St. Pete at the Under Armour All-American Game, and I missed a wild finish in the Sun Dome -- three lead changes in the final 35 seconds, but USF's women's basketball team took a tough 57-56 loss to Cincinnati to drop to 0-2 in Big East play.
The Bulls (9-7) trailed by as many as 16 in the first half, but rallied back to lead -- Porche Grant's layup with 11 seconds left had USF up 56-55. But Grant committed a foul on the other end, and Cincy's Bjonee Reaves hit both free throws with 6.2 seconds left for the win.
We'll get a link up to USF's official site once there's a story and boxscore there. Leondra Doomes-Stephens led USF with 13 points, while Andrea Smith had 12 points on 5-of-19 shooting. Grant finished with eight points and 12 rebounds.
