USF women's golf stumbles in NCAA second round

USF women's golf, which entered the day in 11th place and a stroke off the cut line at the NCAA regional at Ohio State, had a rough front nine and finished at 37 over par, dropping to 17th place after two rounds and largely out of contention to advance to the NCAA championships.

Only the top eight of 24 schools advance from regionals, and after shooting a solid 21 over par in Thursday's opening round, the Bulls struggled early Friday -- Shena Yang and Kelli Pry were 9 over and 10 over, respectively, on the front nine, though they recovered nicely, with Pry playing par golf on the final nine holes and Yang shooting 1 over par.

Christina Miller had the low round for USF at 8 over, but the Bulls are largely out of contention entering Saturday's final round. Here's a link to the live leaderboard, with the top 12 schools still on the course Friday afternoon.
