USF women's tennis finishes 2nd in Big East
USF's women's tennis team came up short Sunday, falling to Notre Dame 4-2 in the Big East championship finals, but you'd be hard-pressed to find a Bulls program to match the success women's tennis has had.
USF got a win at No. 1 singles from senior Irene Rehberger and at No. 3 singles from Janette Bejlkova, but lost the remaining matches on Notre Dame's home courts. In six seasons in the Big East, USF has reached the women's tennis final four times, winning in 2007 and losing three other times to Notre Dame.
