USF's Aristil takes 4th in 400 hurdles at NCAAs
For the second year in a row, USF junior David Aristil is an All-American in outdoor track, placing fourth in the 400-meter hurdles Friday with a school-record time of 49.94 seconds at the NCAA championships in Des Moines, Iowa.
Aristil, who took fifth in the same event last year, again reset his personal best and USF school record, which he first set with a 50.13 he ran last year. The Boynton Beach native next competes at the USA Track & Field Championships in Oregon in two weeks.
USF's Stephanie Duffy, a senior from Washingtonville, N.Y., finished in a six-way tie for 15th in the pole vault, clearing 13 feet, 1.5 inches.
