USF's Hopkins, Bastian sweep sprints at Big East outdoors

USF has swept the two sprint titles at the Big East outdoor track championships in Philadelphia, with Bulls receiver Derrick Hopkins winning the 100 meters with a stadium-record time of 10.44 seconds and senior Antillio Bastian winning the 200 in 21.15 seconds.

Hopkins won the 60 and 200 meters at the Big East indoor meet, and the Bulls also had third and fifth place in the 100, with Bastian taking third in 10.58 and USF cornerback Kayvon Webster taking fifth in 10.65.

Denise Von Eynatten, who won the pole vault title in the indoor season, repeated at the outdoor meet, taking first with a meet-record mark of 13 feet, 9.75 inches. Teammate Stephanie Duffy took second at 13-3.5, and fellow Bulls vaulter Dana Webb took fourth at 12-11.5.
