Victor-ious: Rudd helps Bulls beat St. John's, 64-49
We'll have a full story from Times writer Joe Smith, but USF's men's basketball team got another impressive Big East win on Wednesday night, beating St. John's 64-49 at Tampa Bay Times Forum.
Guard Victor Rudd had all 24 of his points in the second half, hitting five 3-pointers as the Bulls improve to 4-2 in conference play, the first time since they joined the Big East that they're two games over .500. Freshman point guard Anthony Collins had nine assists and guard Jawanza Poland had 16 points off the bench.
Rudd also had a team-high nine rebounds as the Bulls held a 31-23 advantage on the boards. USF is now 11-8, so the Bulls have surpassed last year's season total for overall wins with at least 13 more games remaining.
