Video: Barry Cohen demands apology from ex-USF coach Jim Leavitt

The lingering mystery of the week has been unraveled, and late last night, I learned the big winner is ... "Bullspit," who posted the 50,000th comment in this blog's four-year history, chiming in on the Doug Williams thread at 10:31 p.m. Congrats to Bullspit, who gets a $25 gift certificate at Abe's Mugs Grill and Bar in Clearwater. I also owe him a St. Pete Times T-shirt. So if you're Bullspit -- not entirely sure how we'll prove that -- shoot me an e-mail at [email protected] Thanks to everybody for great conversation on the comments here to get to such a big milestone.

Oh, the coaching search? We'll start with a link to the story in today's Times, which says that East Carolina coach Skip Holtz remains the center of speculation on USF's efforts, though new names sprouted up Wednesday, such as former Bucs quarterback Doug Williams here in the Times, then Miami offensive coordinator Mark Whipple in online reports.

We'll have updates throughout the day, and more on the legal aspect of USF's coaching change -- Joel Miller's attorney has a news conference at 10:45 this morning ...
